About the event

In this class we will be covering European-styled carving chisels and gouges, learn important carving techniques with wood and basic tool sharpening.


The project design is a Fleur-de-lis, a symbol used for centuries throughout Europe. The design used in this class is from Norway.

A basic set of tools is available to use in this class. The wood material is included in the class fee.


Time: 9:30am to 12:30pm


Instructor Bio Mark Olsen:


1984 - Attended a series of crafts classes on furniture restoration and ornamental woodcarving at Sätergläntan Hemslöjdens Gård in Insjön, Sweden.
